Up until 2040 the energy world will undergo a complete change: Renewable energies could play a dominant role in the global energy mix and a world wide climate regime with set CO2 targets could be established. Delphi Energy Future 2040 shows that the global transition to renewable energies does not only grant their affordability but also encourages their economical appeal. For this future outlook study, 350 experts from 40 countries were questioned about their estimation concerning the development of the global energy systems until 2040.
