Project Video: ADB PEP's Smokey Mountain Remediation and Development Project
This video shows the progress emerging in the rehabilitation of Smokey Mountain, an old dump site in Manila. Once squatters who made a living scavenging through the garbage, nearby communities have been trained to segregate the waste, create products from recycled materials, and build their own materials recovery facilities.
